MONTEREY PARK - A grand jury hiked the bail for a Monterey Park couple accused of swindling elderly people out of their homes to $5 million each, according to court documents.
A grand jury indicted Jesus Duran Aguayo and his wife, Sofia Aguayo, on 22 counts of grand theft, burglary, forgery and other charges related to an alleged illegal squatting scam in Los Angeles County, said Tom Dresslar, spokesman for the California Department of Justice.See the full content of this document
