SOUTH EL MONTE -- It may have technically been Mother's Day on Sunday, but for thousands of Southern California residents, it was still Cinco de Mayo.

The warm, mostly overcast weather served as a backdrop for a day of music and food at the Cinco de Mayo celebration at Whittier Narrows Regional Park.
