LOS ANGELES - A direct descendant of the man for whom Olvera Street is named is worried that construction workers may have disturbed his ancestor's grave.

Olvera Street is named for Augustin Olvera, a captain in Mexican military forces who helped negotiate the treat at Cahuenga, ending the Mexican-American War in 1847. Olvera went on to serve in Los Angeles as a judge, then on the county Board of Supervisors from 1855 to 1857.
