EL MONTE - High school and college officials are taking unprecedented steps to boost the number of students in the El Monte Unified High School District who go on to college.
Students who graduate from the district will be first in line to get the classes they want at Rio Hondo College. If they maintain a 3.0 grade point average there and take the required classes, they will be guaranteed admission to UC Irvine under a compact signed Monday by officials from the colleges and the school district.See the full content of this document
