SANTA ANA - A judge on Monday entered a "not guilty" plea on behalf of a retired Pasadena police officer accused of robbing two La Habra banks.

Vincent Edward Cantu, 44, of Whittier was arraigned Monday at the Ronald Reagan Federal Building and Courthouse in Santa Ana. The FBI alleges the former cop is the so-called "Polite Bandit" who apologized to tellers while robbing banks.
