Summary


I write this Clergy Forum with some trepidation, upon the request of Rev. Bill Miller who coordinates these forums. I write to share a passion, and to invite people to a challenging environmental study which will be held at 7 p.m. at FUMCW on eight Wednesday nights beginning April 7 and extending through May 26, studying Rob Hopkins' book, "The Transition Handbook: From Oil Dependence to Local Resilience."

In my mind there is little doubt that the overwhelming challenges and crises which will face humans in the next 50 to 100 years will surround our consumption of fossil fuels, especially coal, gas, and natural gas.
