WEST WHITTIER - Dozens of officers with an armored vehicle, bullet-proof helmets and shields surrounded a locked gas station bathroom Thursday where they believed an armed-robbery suspect was barricaded.
For two hours, three law enforcement agencies - the Whittier Police Department, the sheriff's Pico Rivera Station and California Highway Patrol - called officers to the scene and planned their movements before opening the bathroom door.
