WHITTIER - A Whittier woman allegedly stole $273,000 from a Whittier couple in their 70s as part of a real estate scam where the victims lost their home.
Detectives said the couple didn't know the house they've lived in since 1964 had been sold until a deputy showed up with an eviction notice last summer. They are now paying rent to the bank which holds title to the house. They had to file for bankruptcy.See the full content of this document
