Whittier City Schools Score $400k Grant for New Mental Health Infrastructure

WHITTIER - Whittier City School District officials will use a nearly $400,000 grant to create a new system to identify students who may be having mental health issues and refer them and their families to local agencies for help.

Elizabeth Morlet, who is spearheading the district effort, will implement the project this school year at three schools, Orange Grove, Jackson and West Whittier elementary schools.
